Deck-Celsior! Video Content Weekly (Sort of)

Hello everyone! I have gotten pretty behind with updating the video content here. Sorry it is mostly work and life stuff (and a little too much Runeterra in my free time). But anyways, we have TONS of new content up on youtube, which we really hope you enjoy!

John’s Solo Progression series: Part 8, 9 and 10.

Just in time for the new Wrecking Scenario to arrive, John’s finishes his progression run through the Green Goblin Scenario pack, completing all the scenarios in normal and expert, while also using all of the modular sets that came with the pack.

In our last Episode (Episode 13:Strange Bargains), we did a live deckbuild of a Ms. Marvel Agression build. We had a ton of dicussion and theories about what cards to put in and what quantity. So Sam has put the deck to test and I joined in for some commentary! It was a ton of fun and we both learned some interesting lessons!

Episode 13: Strange Bargains

Dormammu, I’ve come to bargain

Dr. Strange

Hello True Believers! And welcome to this most majestic new Deck-Celsior Episode. We have a full agenda today with some very interesting news! More than anything, we are announcing our Patreon. So click and join and any tier you want! Contributing to it will really help us keep getting better!

In other news, Doctor Strange has been announced, and we have invoke our mystic powers to discuss the first previewed cards. How do we think he will impact the game?

And finally, we did a live deckbuilding. By the result of our polls, we went for a Ms. Marvel deck, choosing aggression. While Sam happily builds his own version of a Hulk deck, the rest of us get into heated (but always fun!) discussions on how to build the best Ms. Marvel aggression deck. It was a really fun to this, and we hope you listeners join in on the discussion! Who is right? Who is Wong? Would you do it differently? Let us know on the Discord!

Deck-celsior! 4-player Expert Beatdown series: Volume 2, Expert Klaw

We continue our 4-player expert beatdown by taking on Klaw elite, arguable the hardest core-set encounter. Yeah Yeah… I know I promised this was going to be a progression-type thing. But, we got new heroes we were itching to play, so we decided on the most fun option. (Pro-tip: when playing games, even more so with coops, the most fun option is the best option).

John’s Solo Progression series: Part 6 and 7, Ultron Expert and Risky Business Standard.

FINALLY!! Says John as he climbs the mountain that is his core-set progression series where he decided to lock himself into She-Hulk to take down all version of the villains. And he does it! Amazing ain’t he, dear listeners? Watch as he finally take down Expert Ultron and moves into the Green Goblin scenario pack, now with access to new heroes.

Sam’s Deck Spotlight: Captain America “Anger Management”

In ENRAGES me (see what I did there) that the Enraged! player card had an overall negative response from the community, with a good deal of people giving it sad faces on our community pool in the Marvel Champions Facebook group. While I understand from where many people are coming from, this is definetely a fun card, and one whose design I love. But fear not fellow appreciators of the Rage, Sam’s has gone and done a deck featuring this card, and shown that it can be to put use!

Deck-Celsior! Video Content Weekly (Sort of) Update!

Hello True Believers! The holidays got in the way and I (Carlos) was unable to take some time to bring you guys the update on the video content. Here are some of the highlights!

Deck-celsior! 4-player Expert Progression series: Part 1, Expert Rhino

Follow us as we take on the expert villains in 4 player in progression mode! For those that don’t have experience with LCGs, progression means that you fight encounters in order of publication, while only using players cards that where available at a time. In the case of the core set Villains, this means wecannot use cards from upcoming expansion such as Captain American and Mrs. Marvel.

John’s Solo Progression series: Part 4 and 5, Klaw Expert and Ultron Standard.

John continues his gauntlet through the Core Set! How does he fare gainst the dreaded Expert Klaw and his starting side scheme bonanza? Can She-Hulk stop the armies of minions sent by the mysterious Crimson Cowl? Watch to find out!

Sam’s Deck Spotlight: Captain America “Red, white and Yellow?”

Sam’s shows a new deck built with the newly released Captain America hero. The plan is simple, control threat and beat up villains. Let us know what you think about this deck on social media!

Community Spotlight: Iron Man Aspectless by Kennedy Hawk

I love Iron Man in this game, and couldn’t pass up the chance to put up this experimental build by one of the Marvel Champions Monthly Host, Kennedyhawk. How much does Iron Man really need things like “aspect” cards? Is he strong enough to just  take on the great villains of the Marvel Universe with just the basic? Watch to find out!

We hope you guys enjoy these videos! And keep checking deckcelsior.com for more amazing Marvel Champions content. Onwards and Upwards!

Episode 10: Villain Busters – Core Set
